L'Ecole's 2007 Perigee called "luxurious" by "Ambassador of Wine"
Blog "Ambassador of Wine" reviews and raves about L'Ecole No. 41's 2007 Perigee, calling it "luxurious" and "seductive."
"This has long been one of the great luxurious velvety reds for me, that’s not incredibly ageable but is real complex and like I said before, luxurious. Perigee is a blend of the oldest and most distinguished blocks from our Estate Seven Hills Vineyard renowned for its rich elegance, seductive aromas and complex, silky finish. Purple ruby color. On the nose, youthful, medium+ intensity, plum, cherry, currant, leather, chocolate, espresso, not earthy, and slight if any earth. On the palate, dry, medium+ intenisty, silky, plum, cherry, chocolate, latte, spice, very velvety, with silky tannins, medium acidity, and good length to the finish. Always and forever will be a real crowd pleaser, I only wish I had cases of this wine to break out for everyone who doubted Washington wine."
